NFD Hires 2 Firefighter/Paramedics

Taylor Amacher, 24, graduated from Newark High School and attended Central Ohio Technical College. Taylor has worked full time at Monroe Township Fire Department for the past 3 years as well as part time at Newton Township Fire Department. Taylor resides in Newark with his 3 year old son, Colton, and enjoys outdoor activities in his spare time.

Scott M. Smith, 34, obtained his Firefighter, EMT and Fire Safety Inspector certification from the State of Ohio Fire Academy. Scott received his paramedic certification from The Ohio University Lancaster. Scott has worked in fire service in both Licking and Fairfield counties for 15 years. He and his wife, Rebecca, reside in Lancaster with their two sons, Austin and Collin.
