Firefighter Black Promoted to Lieutenant

Firefighter/Paramedic Josh Black was promoted to Lieutenant this evening in council chambers.

Josh started his career with the Newark Fire Department in July of 2007.  He is a 1998 graduate of Licking County Christian Academy, and also holds an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Upper Iowa University.  He is a state certified FF2, Paramedic, and Hazardous Materials Technician.  Josh resides in Granville with his wife Jennifer, and they are expecting their first child in August.
