Ashish R. Panchal, MD, Ph,D.

Dr. Panchal began his career as a cardiovascular researcher completing a Ph.D at Case Western Reserve University in Organ Systems Physiology. Following this, he went to The Ohio State University College of Medicine for medical school and residency. Dr. Panchal is a board certified Emergency Physician having practiced at the University of Arizona prior to joining The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He is currently the Director for the Center for EMS at The Ohio State University. His research interests include pre hospital care and cardiopulmonary resuscitation focusing on outcome improvement, community involvement and education. He is a member of the American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care Scientific Subcommittee and is one of the American Heart Association guideline writers for cardiac arrest.
