Station 2 gets a facelift

Faith Life Church from New Albany Ohio selected Newark Fire Department Station #2 as their annual community service project.  The church and their army of volunteers updated a number of items including the following:

Power washing all block walls inside and outside of the building

Repairing the block walls

Painting the exterior of the building

Painting the interior of the 3 apparatus bays

Replacing all burned out ballasts in the ceiling of the bays

Replacing all ceiling tile in the old living quarters of the building

Insstalling thick rubber floor mats on the entire work out bay

Replacing carpet in the office area

Newark fire department and all of its staff are greatly appreciative of the work all the volunteers accomplished.   THANK YOU!
