Training
NFD continually improves our skills through regular training.
The mission of the Newark Division of Fire and Emergency Medical Services is to provide a range of programs designed to safely and efficiently protect the lives and property of the citizens of the City of Newark, Ohio from the adverse effects of fires, sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature.
Fire Protection
NFD is staffed with 76 full-time firefighters. We operate out of 4 stations and are available 24/7/365. Take a look around our new website and learn what your fire department can do for you.
Emergency Medical
All NFD personnel have EMS training. The majority of our personnel are Paramedics. Two paramedics ride each EMS vehicle and at least one paramedic is on each fire apparatus.
Fire Prevention
Our Fire Prevention personnel are ready for safety consultation, education and investigation. Contact the fire prevention office at 740-670-6753. One of our prevention officers will be in touch.
